About Me,

The Joyful Gardener

Hi! My name is Laura, and I enjoy spending time outside, enjoying nature. Hiking and gardening are two of my favorite outdoor activities. I also love drinking coffee! I think learning may also be one of my very favorite hobbies, and I especially love learning about the native plants that grow in my local area of Ohio.

Nurturing the Soul / Soil

Organic Joy Garden – a place the heart learns to thrive. Souls uplift while hands are down digging in soil.

The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just the body, but the soul.

-Alfred Austin

Dig in, And Enjoy!

Watch for blog articles here about useful gardening practices, thoughts I’m meditating on while gardening. (I find it easiest to pray, when outdoors.) You’re also likely to run across random photos and clips about what is currently happening in my garden. I hope you enjoy what you find here!

Tune in to see what’s growing on!
Everything that slows us down and forces patience, everything that sets us back into the slow circles of nature, is a help. Gardening is an instrument of grace. -May Sarton
